Murder inquiry launched after post mortem

A murder inquiry was launched yesterday after a post mortem on the body of a man found dead in Inchicore on Tuesday night.

The autopsy showed that the victim, who was in his early 40s, was beaten to death.

His body was found in a flat on Tyrconnell Road.

Gardaí are withholding his name until all next of kin are informed.

Detectives in Kilmainham are leading the murder investigation.
