Aontas calls for more women on State boards

Aontas, the national association for adult education, has called for more women to be appointed to State boards and committee.

The association said Junior Minister Willie O’Dea has promised more than a year ago to introduce legislation ensuring more gender equality when appointments are made.

However, Aontas said he has so far failed to live up to his promise.
