Ahern brands AIDS deaths 'scandalous'

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has said the needless deaths of millions of AIDS sufferers was one of the greatest scandals of our time.

Mr Ahern said the global fight against AIDS must be given the resources it needs as the current generation would have to answer for its response to the AIDS crisis.
