The Ulster Defence Association has begun an internal debate on the status of its alleged ceasefire, according to the political wing of the organisation.

Frankie Gallagher, a spokesman for the UDA-linked Ulster Political Research Group, said the paramilitary organisation is considering whether to extend a ceasefire declared around a year ago.
