Immigration Council wants employment laws relaxed
The Immigrant Council of Ireland has called on the Government to give all non-nationals living in Ireland the right to seek employment.
The call follows the Tánaiste’s announcement of a new scheme to give work permits to the spouses of 10,000 immigrants already working in Ireland.
The Immigrant Council, however, wants all non-nationals living in Ireland to be given a right to work.
It claimed such a move would help reduce racism and crime.
