The Police Service of Northern Ireland is believed to be experiencing difficulties filling an early retirement quota aimed at boosting the number of Catholics serving in the force.

The PSNI is seeking 330 retirements under the severance scheme this year, but reports today said it was having difficulties in finding enough willing candidates.
