Taoiseach reiterates call for end to republican paramilitarism

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has reiterated his call for an end to republican paramilitarism in the North.

In a speech at the University of Ulster in Coleraine, Mr Ahern said it would be impossible to persuade the DUP to share power with Sinn Féin while there was still a threat of force from the IRA.
