Army dealing with suspicious package

The Army have been called to deal with a suspicious package after a security alert in Dublin this morning.

Gardaí in Dublin have had to deal with a number of alerts in the city today.

Some of these alerts have now been cleared but a number are ongoing.

One of the alerts is at Duck Lane, off Smithfield, where a suspicious package has been located.

An Army disposal team are in the process of examining the package.

The alerts were raised following a number of telephone calls to media organisations.
