Jailed father on day 13 of hunger-strike
A father jailed for not paying child maintenance is on the 13th day of his hunger strike at Mountjoy Prison.
The 38-year-old father of two claims he sent his cheque to the wrong office.
He has been refusing solid foods since he was jailed on February 2.
His case is being supported by the Unmarried and Separated Fathers of Ireland.
Ray Kelly, a spokesman for the group, says it's typical of the injustice served on fathers and described the 60-day sentence as a "drastic step".
