Gardaí name victim of Co Galway road accident

The 62-year-old man who died after being hit by a tractor in Co Galway last night has been named as Jim Callen from Kilkerrin, in Ballinasloe.

Mr Callen was walking near his home when the accident happened at about 7.30pm.

The driver of the tractor was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. Two other people died on Galway's roads yesterday.
