Transport minister to examine proposed western rail corridor

The prospects of a new upgraded rail service in the west may be a step closer after today.

The Minister for Transport Seamus Brennan visits three counties to examine the route of the proposed western rail corridor from Limerick to Sligo.

The Minister will also open a new departures area at Knock International Airport.
