A five-year-old boy and a 15-week-old baby were injured when a bottle smashed through the rear window of a car driving through north Belfast, police said today.

A five-year-old boy and a 15-week-old baby were injured when a bottle smashed through the rear window of a car driving through north Belfast, police said today.

The children were in the rear of the vehicle being driven down Bilston Road towards the city centre yesterday afternoon when a man in a group standing at the roadside suddenly threw the bottle at the vehicle, breaking the rear window and showering the children with glass.
