Ahern to meet Qurei and Schroeder

The Taoiseach will meet the Palestinian Prime Minister and the German Chancellor in Dublin later today.

It will be Palestinian PM Ahmed Qurei's first foreign engagement, and the Middle East peace process will be up for discussion.

The meeting with Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder will discuss Bertie Ahern's progress on his agenda as President of the European Council.

They'll also discuss the forthcoming inter-governmental Conference on the new EU constitution.
