Govt introduces new food-labelling requirements

Agriculture Minister Joe Walsh has introduced new labelling requirements in response to the outbreak of avian influenza in south-east Asia.

Mr Walsh said today that he had introduced new regulations requiring that all poultry meat imported from outside the EU be labelled with its country of origin.
