Members of the public have been asked to stay away from Limerick Regional Hospital due to a suspected outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

The authorities at the hospital are currently investigating four suspected cases of the virus, which forced the cancellation of non-emergency surgery at several hospitals last year.
