Ireland is reportedly the only EU member state not to have restricted the rights of citizens from the 10 countries due to join the union in May of this year.

Reports this morning said Ireland was the only one of the existing 15 EU members to be offering equal work and welfare rights to citizens of the accession states.

Fine Gael has responded to this morning’s reports by calling on the Taoiseach to state if he intends to follow the lead of the British and introduce his own restrictions.
