Body discovered in empty cottage in Galway

Gardaí in Galway are investigating the death of a woman in her 60s whose body was discovered in an empty cottage in Salthill.

A family member found the body shortly before lunchtime in an unoccupied cottage across the road from her home.

It has been taken to hospital and a post mortem examination is being carried out.
