There was a fire overnight at a recycling plant in Dublin.

Blaze breaks out at recycling plant

There was a fire overnight at a recycling plant in Dublin.

The blaze, at the Thornton's Waste facility in Ballyfermot, was first noticed at 10.30pm.

Eleven units of Dublin Fire Brigade were called out and the fire has been brought under control. No one was injured but the extent of the damage is not yet known.

A technical examination will take place later this morning but Gardaí are not treating the fire as suspicious.
