Commuters in counties Mayo and Roscommon are facing further disruption today due to an unofficial strike by train drivers.

The action is being taken by drivers at Westport who say Iarnód Éireann is refusing to pay them a pay rise.

The company says workers need to implement changes in work practices first, which will increase the number of hours they work.

There will be bus transfers in operation between Westport and Athlone this morning, and this afternoon between Westport and Roscommon.
