Dual mandate abolition 'unconstitutional'

Fine Gael TD Michael Ring has begun his legal challenge against the abolition of the dual mandate.

Mr Ring is seeking a High Court ruling declaring that the abolition contravenes the Irish Constitution. The measure is due to come into force after the local elections later this year.
