Talks to begin on possible Belfast job losses

Unions representing workers at the Nortel plant in Belfast are due to meet management today to discuss the company’s decision to sell the facility to another firm.

Nortel said today that it planned to sell the plant to Flextronics as part of a strategy to focus on the introduction of new products.
