Oireachtas committee to discuss proposed ‘fat tax’

The Oireachtas health committee is due to meet next week to discuss the possibility of introducing a tax on fatty foods.

Last August, Health Minister Micheál Martin revealed that he was considering introducing a so-called "fat tax" in an effort to curb rising obesity levels.
