Police vow to fight phasing out of PSNI reserve

Police in the North have vowed to oppose plans to phase out the 1,600-strong PSNI reserve within the next two years.

The move was recommended by the Patten Report on policing reform in the North, which formed a key part of the Good Friday Agreement.
