Crash site examined by Gardaí

Gardaí have carried out a technical examination at the scene of a crash in Co Tipperary in which three generations of a family lost their lives.

The family, from Ballindangan in north Cork, were travelling in a car which collided with a lorry near Cahir in Co Tipperary.

A grandmother, her two daughters, and her grandchild were killed in the accident.

A young child, also a member of the same family, is critically ill in Cork University Hospital.

Four trucks and a car were involved in the crash.
