Mixed reaction to Ryan report

Victims of abuse in state institutions have given a mixed reaction to the Ryan report on the commission into child abuse, which was published yesterday.

Justice Seán Ryan ruled out the suggestion that only a selection of sample cases would be heard, as a way of cutting costs and speeding up the process of dealing with the 1,700 complaints.
