Tánaiste opens new Guinness plant in Waterford

The Tánaiste Mary Harney has officially opened a new €40m Guinness factory in Waterford.

The plant on Mary St will be used to make a product called Essence of Guinness, which is used to give the drink its unique flavour.

The Essence is exported to the 50 countries worldwide where Guinness is brewed.
