Coastguard airlifts fisherman to safety

A fisherman has been airlifted to hospital in Cork after he took ill while at sea aboard a Spanish trawler 130 miles south-west of Cork.

The Waterford-based Coastguard Unit responded to the accident on board the Monte Alen at around 1.30am today.
