Ballina heating firm to shed 45 jobs

Forty-five workers at Dekko Heating Technologies in Ballina have been told that they are to be made redundant at the end of the month.

Management has blamed the transfer of part of the company's assembly plant to China and the fact that a major contract has come to an end as the main reasons for the job losses.
