Cowen welcomes Bush move on undocumented workers

Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen has welcomed a move by US President George W Bush to set up a temporary worker programme for undocumented employees in the United States.

However, Mr Cowen said he would wait to assess the detail of the plan before assessing how it would affect Irish people working illegally in the US.
