Unions representing workers at CIE are due to meet today to discuss a fresh campaign of action against the Government’s plan to break up the company and privatise 25% of Dublin Bus routes.

Earlier this week, the National Bus and Railworkers Union withdrew from talks on the matter with the Department of Transport. They said they had lost confidence in the talks after Minister Seamus Brennan made statements to the press on the future of the company.
