Govt urges caution over breaches of single currency rules

The Irish Government has urged the European Commission not to rush into legal action over the rules governing the euro currency.

The commission is due to meet tomorrow to discuss whether to take legal action against member states for allowing France and Germany to breach the EU Stability and Growth Pact.
