The EU flag was raised above Dublin today as the Government began its term in the Union’s presidency, pledging to make every effort to reach agreement on a new European constitution.

The EU flag was raised above Dublin today as the Government began its term in the Union’s presidency, pledging to make every effort to reach agreement on a new European constitution.

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern told diplomats at a ceremony in Dublin Castle that much work lay ahead during administration’s six-month term in office.
