Dublin gardaí launch murder investigation

Gardaí in Dun Laoghaire have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man’s body at Pearse Gardens, Sallynoggin this morning.

Post mortem results found that the man died from serious head injuries.

The victim has been named as 54-year-old David Sutherland from Sheelin Hill, Ballybrack.

A local resident discovered the body at around 1.40am this morning.
