Man dies after collision with truck

A man in his 20s has died after the car he was driving collided with a truck in Co Louth this morning.

The accident happened near Feede Cross, on the Dundalk to Newry road, shortly after 4.30am.

The victim, who was from the North, was pronounced dead at Louth County Hospital, where the lorry driver was also treated for shock.

The crash has also caused disruption in the area, with northbound traffic being diverted at the Ballymac roundabout via Carlingford and Omeath.
