The Dublin Diocese Child Protection Service has announced a decision to send six hundred priests in the diocese of Dublin for formal training in child protection.

The priests, who serve a total of two hundred parishes in the greater Dublin area, will be taught how to identify evidence of child abuse during their training next year.
