House fire in Dublin leaves elderly man in hospital

A man in his seventies is in a critical condition in St James hospital after inhaling smoke from a blaze in a house in central Dublin.

The fire broke out in his home at around 11.30pm last night in Lincoln Place.

Four fire crews dealt with the flames and one fire-fighter involved in his rescue is also been treated in hospital.
