19 killed on construction sites in 2003

The Government is being called upon to introduce proper safety laws to protect workers on building sites.

The Builders and Allied Trade Union says the fact that 19 people died people on building sites this year is totally unacceptable.

The union wants the Government to publish new legislation aimed at making construction sites safe.
