Dempsey launches €7m project to promote sport for children

Almost €7m is to be spent promoting sport in our schools. The money is being made available as part of the "European Year of Education through Sport".

It’s an EU initiative aimed at promoting physical activity among young people. It comes as the Government says Ireland's youth has a growing problem with obesity and lack of fitness.
