Security stepped up for Shannon protest

Security has been stepped up at Shannon airport in preparation for today's anti-war demonstration.

The Irish Anti-War Movement will protest against the use of the airport as a military base for US troops travelling to and from Iraq.

Despite protestors insisting that it will be peaceful, riot police are expected to be on duty.

Shannon Airport says that service will run as normal at the airport.
