Union wants talks on decentralisation plans

The union representing clerical civil servants is seeking an urgent meeting with the Minister for Finance to discuss the planned decentralisation of eight government departments and state bodies.

The CPSU is welcoming the proposals, but says there needs to be more clarification from the Government.

Spokesman Eoin Ronayne warned of the dangers of trying to move 10,500 civil servants too soon.
