Clerical sex abuse study welcomed by bishops

An independent study into the issue of clerical child sex abuse has found that over three-quarters of the Irish public feel the Church has not dealt adequately with the problem.

The report was commissioned by the Bishops conference, and carried out by researchers at the Royal College of Surgeons.
