Health Minister Micheál Martin was cleared of overspending in the campaign for last year’s general election today after a High Court Judge ruled the case against him had not been proved.

Health Minister Micheál Martin was cleared of overspending in the campaign for last year’s general election today after a High Court Judge ruled the case against him had not been proved.

Mr Justice Peter Kelly said defeated candidate Kathy Sinnott had failed to demonstrate that Mr Martin had exceeded the legal limit on electoral expenses.
