Minister of State Tom Kitt announced today that Ireland is to host a major international conference on Aids in February.

It is expected that Ministers from 55 countries and the heads of a number of UN agencies will attend the meeting.

The theme of the conference will be partnership in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Europe and Central Asia.

It is likely to be the largest single meeting held here during our EU Presidency.
