AIDS awareness campaign is launched

Tackling the growth of AIDS in Eastern Europe should be part of Ireland's agenda during our presidency of the European Union, according to the Dublin AIDS Alliance.

The alliance is launching its AIDS awareness campaign today.

Most of the 10 states joining the EU next year are former eastern bloc countries and the region is being highlighted as a major growth zone for the virus.
