Meath gardaí seize €4.5m of cannabis

There has been a massive drug seizure in Co Meath.

Cannabis worth up to €4.5m was found during a Garda search of a yard near Clonee.

Plain clothes and uniformed gardaí swooped on a yard at Nutstown at around 3.30pm this afternoon.

The cannabis, worth between €3-€4.5m was concealed in a container.

Three men have been arrested.

A 24-year-old and 39-year-old are being held at Blanchardstown Garda station.

The third, another 39-year-old man is being detained in Finglas.

The arrests were made under section two of the Drug Trafficking Act where they can be held for up to 7 days.
