Anti-war campaigner jailed for two months
A leading anti-war campaigner has been jailed for two months for refusing to pay a fine following his involvement in a protest at Shannon Airport last year.
Dr Fintan Lane handed himself in to Gardaà today, saying he had no regrets about taking part in a campaign of civil disobedience.
He protested the use of Shannon Airport by the US government.
Meanwhile, John Jefferies from the Anti-war movement says more protests are planned for next month.
