Voting brisk in North's elections

Polling was initially brisk in the North's Assembly elections today, with people voting on their way to work and while dropping off children to school.

Polling was initially brisk in the North's Assembly elections today, with people voting on their way to work and while dropping off children to school.

Up to a million people are eligible to vote and polling stations are open until 10pm tonight.

However, there are also fears that the cold spell of weather may keep voters away from the booths.

Party leaders on all sides have called for communities to come out and register their political choice.
