Greens want action after company fined
Green Party TD Dan Boyle has expressed concern following the court judgement against pharmaceutical firm Glaxo Smithkline.
The firm has been fined €15,000 for breaches of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act following an incident in which a carcinogenic substance was released into the atmosphere at their plant in Cork last May.
Deputy Boyle is calling on the Minister for the Environment and local Government to rectify the situation immediately.
