CAB to target Mahon Tribunal corruption suspects
The Criminal Assets Bureau may soon target people suspected of involvement in planning corruption.
This follows yesterday's landmark conviction of the former Assistant Dublin City and County Manager George Redmond.
Mr Redmond is due to be sentenced next month after being found guilty of two counts of corruption, which could carry a prison term of up to seven years.
It has been reported that former Government Press Secretary, Frank Dunlop, could be used by the CAB unit to bring further prosecutions against others who have come to the attention of the Mahon Tribunal.
