Gerry Adams' father dies in Belfast

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams has cancelled his engagements for today following the death of his father.

Gerry Adams Snr, a veteran republican and former IRA prisoner, died in Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital this morning. He had been ill for some time.
